3 Month Supply

I know there is lots of talk right now about the swine flu and the possiblities that it could bring. So I am offerening you a challenge -

Could you right now live in your house for 3 months without going out to purchase products, to be entertained or to get some exercise, diversion etc.? What would it take for you to do this?

Please take some time to start thinking about this right now.

I'm so glad I found this site. I was sitting at my boys soccer practice, figuring how I can possible get a years worth of food saved up before winter. It occured to me that what I should really do is just concentrate on preparing for 3 months. I came home, got online, and found your blog. I'll be interested to see what you and others come up with.

I really don't know where to begin, so I was seeking ideas when I found your blog.

We just moved to Alaska, the military hasn't reimbursed us for travel yet so we blew through our entire savings just getting here and into a house- and our account is currently negative. When they DO reimburse us, it's pretty much already spent on bills and attempting to get out of debt. We don't have much in the way of winter clothing & supplies and the packers at our old base wouldn't pack ANY of my stocked-up food/household goods supplies so I'm having to start from absolute scratch and feeling exceedingly overwhelmed. Do you have any suggestions on where to begin?
