I would encourage you to do something every week to help with your personal preparedness. Learn something, buy something, teach something or do something. Doing a little each week will pay off .

CROCK POT YOGURT - IT WORKS!

I have a yogurt maker but it has always been so complicated, I have to feel really motivated to do it. I tried Debbies recipe - listed at the bottom of the blog and it is great! I just blended my home canned peaches from last fall with a cup of it and it is like eating Ice Cream YUMMM!

I didn't know where to leave a comment about the talk by Elder Busche. I just wanted to thank you for it. It is beautiful and so hopeful. He captured everything I feel about home storage, skills and sharing that I would never be able to put into words. Thank you so much.

Hi ya Paula,

this is your CTTM New Zealand mate Cate checking out your other blogs - where do you get the time to upkeep so many informative blogs? I'm hard pressed keeping one going at times.

Am enjoying your thoughtful posts though & will be back to read some more.

Cheers,
Cate

Couldn't find where the recipe for the "Crock Pot Yogurt". Can you re-direct me. It's been multiple years (probably like 25) since I last made homemade yogurt--which we loved. I used a cardboard box, a heating pad and bath towels. Couldn't find the acedopholis (however you spell it) to "start" the yogurt. But, it was really good stuff when we made it way-back-then!

I'd also like to have the yogurt recipe but like pencil writer I can't find it either.

BTW--pencil writer, in my yogurt making I use plain yogurt as my starter. It has the cultures in it, and they just multiply in the new batch.
